I'm not coming back to this one, except for exceptions.

A sicko shot and killed 13 people in today on a college campus, as well as injured 20 other people. He was an expert marksman, or had at least more than a magazine of 33 bullets. We're all hunters on this forum, I think.

Why in my whole wide world would you ever want a magazine of more than 9 bullets?

Please don't give me the nose of the camel argument. I'm not looking for an argument at all, just a logical reason for 50 shot magazines.

Because 9mm would be pointless then.

Honestly, If you have 10 rd magazines and you have several of them, what point is a magazine restriction going to do to help? A competent shooter can change a magazine in a second. If you are going against an unarmed target, there is not worry about finding cover to reload. Drop the empty and pop in a full magazine. 5 round, 10 round, 15 round magazine... it really doesn't matter. If you have money, you can have as many rounds as you want with minimal time to reload between mags.

Key word "sicko". Don't blame the gun or magazines.

The only thing that'll stop a bad man with a gun, is a good man with a gun.

I'm not going to diminish another travesty. AND, I have sorrow for what those families are going through, BUT...
Has anyone noticed there have NOT been mass shootings at Gun shows,Gun ranges,or even Gun Shops.
My take on the mag. capacity, IS it would be the first step in banning ALL guns!
It's like: well, I don't hunt with _____ go ahead and ban THEM.
It's like Obama care, It helped a few... but all of us that it didn't help are having to pay way more than our share.

Have any of you been walking out to your stand at 5 am in the morning, in the pitch black, and then you smell it. Hogs. Then you hear them. <<STOP>> In this situation, would you prefer to have an AR-15 in your arms with a 5 round magazine, or an AR-15 with a 30 round magazine?

I have been in this situation and luckily, the hogs went on their way. However, my dad and I were frozen in place for about 15 minutes. So yes, there truely is a purpose for a high capacity magazine. I'm not even going to get into the original intent of the 2nd Amendment.
God has a plan and something special in mind for all of us. Do you know the direction that God wants to send you?

Ask what is the use for more than 10 rounds in a magazine is, pass a law that only allows 10 round magazines.

A few years down the road, the question is asked "why would anyone need 10 rounds in a magazine?"

Then pass a law that only allows 5 round magazines.

It's really that simple.

Chicago has the most restrictive gun laws in the country, giving the
liberals everything that they want. If the laws worked, Chicago would
be the safest place in the country. Instead it is a war zone, where
legal law abiding Americans have to resort to the court system to have
the same constitutional rights as every other American.
Leave us not forget, the college campus is what every liberal wants,
a gun free zone. It is against the law for the law abiding to protect
themselves. If these laws worked, schools would be the safest places
in our country. Has this worked?
The truth is exactly what Wayne Lapierre says, The only thing that
will stop a bad man with a gun, is a good guy with a gun.
We have over 30,000 gun laws on the books, affecting only the law abiding
The Obama regime is rogue, and will not stop until America is yet another
third world s--t hole. They do this by stripping us of our Constitution.

Has it been released the type of guns used and what the round count of the magazines used.
I know the news stories all say a rifle and a couple handguns were at the scene and a total of 13 guns have been related to the shooter. Must of those were at his home and not with him.
But what did he use???

I just love it when people do not understand the 2nd Amendment at all.

Why more than 9 Bill? Because I can. Heck, I should be able to walk in to a Walmart and buy a full auto rifle I want, but someone decided that those were too dangerous and now they are highly restricted.

Same issue here, inch by inch anything is a cinch. They won't stop at 10 or 5 or even at single shot. They won't stop until only government and criminals have guns. At that point, none of our other constitutionally guaranteed rights will mean a whole lot.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm hoping this is in reference to the OP.
