That was some tough steel for that barrel to stay together with that many rounds jammed in it.

2 vises, a handful of bullets, with a steel plate clamped to the end of the barrel. Then use a hydraulic press to smash the bullets in the barrel. Was this what happened, I don't know, but it is as good of an excuse as any.

A least we know they never hit anything in front of the barrel.

I would think they would evenly compress the bullets and not bulge the barrel using the press. They would also have to have a dowel in the end to take up the space where there are no bullets at the muzzle end, and somehow not pancake the front edge of the bullet in the process.

Looks like a bunch of rounds with no powder charge, and a shooter that assume he was missing all the time. One good round along the way would have been a very sad deal indeed.

They live among us and vote. When my dad had his shop we removed several stacked bullets and replaced several barrels on both revolvers, pistols and even a few shotguns. Most of the problems were with new re-loaders not using enough powder. We had one Ruger 44 Mag where the guy did not have a powder measurer so he just filled the case with one of the DOT powders to where the previous bullet was seated. Blew the top 3 chambers off and bent the top strap. Scary.

11 bullets stuck in a barrel coming out of a revolver means that somebody did this intentionally to create this. Low powder loads and something to plug the barrel for the first, and probably several shots. Then he just kept doing it until he figured the barrel was full.

Neat picture, but probably not worth destroying a perfectly fine pistol

Squib round. They don't usually happen with good ammo. Guy is lucky the barrel did not explode. If you ever fire a round and it sounds funny and there is less recoil don't fire another round. I have seen rifles and handguns explode from it.
