I am not big into reloading but was wondering what in the world is going on with .260 ammo, bullets and brass?
I have been trying to buy some Remington Accu-tip 120 grain factory loads for weeks and can't find them anywhere locally or on the internet. Everybody says they are Out of Stock!
Plus a friend of mine who reloads for me sometimes says he can't hardly get .260 brass any place.
Why is there such a shortage of this particular caliber?
I would appreciate any input

Gary, I have some 260 Accubonds (I think) in hand. Don't remember weight, but I have them for hogs and deer.

Cast: thanks but I have three different .260 Remington's that are all sighted in and seem to love the Accu-tip 120 grain loads.
I have tried to have a couple of guys try to duplicate this load but not with the best results but they haven't even been able to get component's all summer.
I appreciate your generous offer and if I can't find any Accu-tip's I may give you a call.
PS: did you get your feeder pens built ok?

My guess would be like many of remingtons other rounds... 6mm and 280 rem the 260 is not that popular and ammo and componets for it are made is limited runs every so often. Stuff should come back around.

Grafs has 260 brass. The Federal loads seem to be the most avalible of the 120 gr loaded ammunition followed by Nosler with an 125 gr load.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

Before 260 became a favorite for LR i used quality 243 brass and ran it through the 260 sizer. I shot for a long time using 243 brass and best outing was 20 shots inside a dime at 300 yds usinh aa2700/243 brass/ and 130 berger match vld. I have 260 brass but havent touched it because my stock of 243 brass hasnt dwindled down to that point.
