With a heavy heart, I have decided to sell my B. Searcy & Co. "PH" model double rifle in .500 NE. I am only selling to fund another investment that, at this particular moment in my life, is much more important.

I purchased the rifle used in January of 2014. It went back to Butch Searcy (the builder) to have broken firing pins replaced (my fault), as well as an extra set of firing pins made (included in sale) well as an inspection by Butch.

Below are the specs & photos.

As a disclaimer, I will go ahead an let any potential buyers know that the firing pins do drag slightly on the primers sometimes, which can make the action a little tight to open after firing.

Asking $9,800 or best offer. This is a great price for the level of wood and engraving on this rifle....especially considering Butch gets $15,500 for a new one. There are a couple small dings in the wood from hunting, but nothing major. I would put overall condition at approximately 95%.

Weight: approximately 11.25 lbs (according to my Rapala digital fishing scale)
Barrel Length: 24"
LOP: 15" (from front trigger)
Trigger Pull: Front - 5 lbs, Rear - 4 lbs (rough average numbers from my Lyman trigger pull gauge)
Regulation Load: 110 grains IMR-4831, 570 grain bullet, Federal 215 Primers (as per Butch's file data)
Gun has ejectors and a custom-fitted Americase.
