Hey guys
I need some suggestions on ways to cook shark. I've soaked it in buttermilk and grilled it before but wanna try some new ways. Thanks for any suggestions!

Only way I've done it was grill it over wood, lemon pepper, squeeze lemon over it and dip in melted butter. Kind of a lemon butter sorta thing. Would be interested to see other ways of doing it. Only had it a handful of times but I enjoyed it every single time.

Ill deep fry fillets in a panko mix. Comes out pretty tasty. Blackened like mentioned above has been pretty good.

Shark fajitas - squeeze lemon , then marinade briefly w/zesty Italian dressing. Grill over charcoal.
Serve w/tortillas & all the fixings.
Awesome!

Blackened is good but I love it grilled. I grilled some more up the other day but this time tried a new marinade, (HEB Southwestern), marinated it and some fresh shrimp for a few hours. Threw on mesquite coals, toasted corn torts, made fresh pico, and had fish & shrimp tacos. That marinade is good, turned out awesome!

Oh and some quail to make it a surf & turf.

The dirt & shadows made my toe look deformed eek2 anyway.. roflmao

Skinner...that looks amazing! What flavor marinade is that? We usually just use Italian dressing and olive oil but I think we need to give that a try!
Bill...I haven't ever blackened anything so can u give me a couple of tips?
Thanks for the ideas guys! Gonna give them all a try!

It's best done outside. Most any seasoned mix will do. Roll the fish in the butter. Do not put the butter in a hot pan. I think some people cook it too hot.

It's kind of a chili powder/tomato flavor with a little cumin. I liked it.

I use chili powder in most of my fish dishes. It gives a better color than paprika.
