Green up there and the crops are healthy. Deer movement in the evening starts at 7, but is much better in the morning. We had the best movement from 8 to 9 am.

Any big boys? I probably won't get to hunt Kansas this year as we'll be spending my leave in Texas, but I wish all you boys the best.

Now, get to work... popcorn

If work allows it, I will be up there this weekend. Doesn't look like we have any big boys on camera yet, but I know they are there cheers

Keep the Kansas reports coming, guys. I'm bummed I didn't get to make it up for muzzle loader season this year, and I'm not sure if I'll get to go up for rifle season either. I'll have to live vicariously through the rest of you lucky SOBs, lol. cheers

Me too. I told my buddy I shot him last year, just pulling his leg after he told me to lay off of him. He almost kicked me out and made me go home. laugh

up Good luck. I spent 9 days hunting in the heat, highwind, thunderstorms, and rattlesnakes. Mature bucks were only moving in darkness, except for one afternoon(temps was 85 when it was 97 day before) and one morning(37 degrees) in western Kansas. Corn harvest was underway in most areas, just spotted. Some areas heavy. A lot of drylabn corn in the areas I hunted. A lot. Deer were either in the corn or in the tall CRP or bottoms with tall kochia weeds. Rained a lot more this year making it very tall. Some areas you could only see a deer when they ran. If they walked the grass or weeds hid them from view.
