I have been picked to hunt the Choke Canyon SP -North Shore unit in December. Does anyone know where I can take a deer and hang it in cold storage? Is there a place in Tilden or Three Rivers to take an animal if the weather is not cold enough?

Whats the name of the big C Store and gas station in Tilden on the east side of the street - Hwy 16 @ Hwy 72 ...72 runs east along the bottom side of the lake...think it's an Exxon or Shell but can't remember...I'd call'em and ask, as this place has a "Crown Moulding" all around the main part of the store of some super outstanding heads and should know where there is a walk in cooler for storage. Might find something in 3 Rivers too, but kinda a long'ish haul from Tilden. Good grub in 3 Rivers.

I hunted James Daughtrey two years ago. Never could find any cold storage around Tilden or Three Rivers. Good luck on the search though.

Granzin's meat market it Pleasanton... Prob about 30 - 40 miles... Which I would drive to avoid quartering a deer #lazy
