it's accurate to the kernel. Just like any balance beam, which this is, you should validate your balance weight with another scale or known samples. It dump's "close" and trickles up from there. It's very sensitive as you can see when I force it to overthrow by 3 pieces of powder.
What you saw in the green widow is just a projection of the actual beam point in the machine using lights and mirrors.

I hate you both.... I'm interested, if you want you can PM me his number and I'll call him unless you have a special bat phone line to him Oh and Walter...I figure as expensive as these things are $100 a session is about fair, I know you understand the rental business so if my price is too high let me know ha!

Isn't the Prometheus only on a 25yr lease program now instead of a outright but?

Yes but he doesn't care...he did that because he wants to know where/who has his machines. He had some problems with competitors or people copying his design. At least that is what I've been told 2nd hand so take that at face value.

Gotta say I'm officially in love with this catridge. Got to finally shoot sunday with a generic load I threw together without much load work up. Didn't get the #s for the load but estimated velocity was 2748. My guess is the es is LOW. Less than 1/2 inch of vertical at 1200 yards! Can't wait to stretch this to 2k plus this spring!

it's a great cartridge for sure. on paper it's not much different that a 338 Lapua but in practice it just feels so much smoother and seems to be inherently more accurate.

seems to be inherently more accurate. That's saying something because the 338LM seems about as easy as a 308 to make run well. How is brass availability and price, and which powders work well for it? Judd, an alternative to the Promethus is use a Chargemaster or thrower and then a good beam like the basic Redding with the Omega Auto trickler. A new Redding beam and the Omega is sensitive to one grain. It is surprisingly fast after a bit of practice. The setup usually finishes faster than I can pour it into the case and seat a bullet. http://www.omegapowdertrickler.com/

Norma Brass is as available as most other stuff and I use H1000, some use the new IMR 'brother' powder or Retumbo.
