I see many pics of people on here with the sleeve in their receiver hitch. You have a better option! http://www.weigh-safe.com

you can also go to tractor supply and buy a hitch that is the right size and no sleeve needed. Doesn't come close to 300 bucks.

That is the only adjustable aluminum 2.5" ball mount currently available. Not really the same thing as what tractor supply is selling, Walmart sells a 2.5" non adjustable ball mount cheaper than anyone if that's what you are looking for. If you looked at the link the weigh-safe also has a gauge for tongue weight built into the ball mount.

I have looked at these. But IMHO the weight deal is a gimmick. If you have been pulling a trailer long enough you know how where to load what. The adjustable hitch is the only part that makes it any better than the regular 2.5 receivers. But the sleeve comes with the trucks when I buy them. If I was buying a adjustable it would be a B and W hitch.

B & W does not make an adjustable 2.5" aluminum or steel, so....

I must be dense as hell. I don't even see the problem in a picture. Is that a 2-1/2" stinger in a 2-1/2 receiver? Is the "clunk" on take-off and landing that's the issue?

I don't get it, so it's worth $300 bc it's light and it has a gauge that people who know loads don't need?

Yeah seems a waste. I can load a trailer and don't need a gauge to tell me if I have tongue weight right.

B & W does not make an adjustable 2.5" aluminum or steel, so.... No but they do make an adjustable hitch. Aluminum is a gimmick. And I would rather have a hitch that fits all my trucks than a 2.5 inch if I am spending that much money. We run five trucks six days a week the hitch is the least of my worries. I'd rather spend the money on good tires.... Walter
