Is 22 short costing about the same as 22lr these days. I came across 400-500 rounds in my stash and don't use 22 short for anything. would it trade even, or is it worth more or less in trade for 22lr?

Generally, 22 short has sold for a little less. But both 22LR and 22 shorts have been hard to come by, so pricing is whatever it is right now. I bought a bunch of 22 shorts for my backyard squirrel load, and it's perfect for that.

It's higher because there are not nearly as many manufacturers of shorts as LR meaning most of the shorts you find are CCI, bringing a premium.

Try posting a WTT (want to trade) shorts for LR even swap and see what happens. I dumped some here a few weeks ago easily.

Pass the gravy.

I buy shorts and especially CB Short, and CB Long.

Tell me exactly what ammo you have and I may buy it from you, I myself would not trade unless it is for something useless to me like bulk hollow points!

I don't know the brands unless I sort it all out. It was all mixed when I got it. I will sort them and see what I have.

Shorts were selling higher than standard LR before the 22 shortage happened. Its the same today if you can find them, but I find waaaaaaay more LR than I do shorts these days. Last time I saw shorts they were around $33 a brick for Remingtons at Wally Mart. Lately the only shorts I have seen have been in sleeves of 100 for around $10.

Those are really low prices compared to average for found retail ammo over the last three years here. REALLY low. I haven't seen a brick of .22 of any kind at WM in at least 30 months. You might get extremely lucky and find some Winchester or Remington junk for $10 per 100 (I don't think that's lucky) but CCI is going to run you nearly $15 per 100 anywhere near here.

We have no retail or wholesale support up here.....travel, pay shipping, or do without. Wait....you can go to P&B in WB and pay $20 per 100.

Nope

Pass the gravy.
