Has anyone used the new Spin Tech Mechanism? I have four of the Eliminator plates and really like them; however, I wonder if the SpinTechs work just as well and are 25% cheaper.

Spin techs work, eventually spring needs replacing(4-5years), I'm almost all spintech now. I had hell with the EP tossing the plastic gasket, 2 years tops before needing replacement

I saw a Spin Tech for the first time this weekend and really liked them along with the lower price point. EP is still working great other than when some corn gets stuck in one of the links. Thanks for the feedback.

I do spray them with WD-40 or equivalent lubricant to clean them and keep the working properly on a regular basis. I guess running that cheap, free bin run corn instead of buying re-cleaned corn is your issue

I bet hindsight is its from not turning them off in the summer. Had 6 do the exact same thing... Toss the plastic but I never sprayed them with wd40

Filling up Saturday there on my way to ML hunt for WT.

Mine have been spinning year round for the last couple of years with no problems. Sounds like a user error Bobo.

I have had problems with my spin tech... Mechanism ends up loosening so the coons can spin out the corn. Mine also doesn't work when it's real cold. I bought 2 stand and fills at the main store in San Antonio real cheap so after the first motor mechanism went bad after about a year I just put the other motor from the other unit on. I like my Texas Hunter Product motor way better.

I only use an EP on my road feeder mounted to my golf cart. No problems so far. I'm going to replace the plate on my ASfeeder and was trying to decide whether to go with a ST or an EP.

Spintechs are great road feeders, not so great stand feeders.... Just my experience though
