We hunted a sunflower field north of Abilene. Saw birds on the road while we were driving in. While retrieving a bird, one of my buddies busted a covey of about 40-50 birds. They were calling to each other the rest of the morning.

The quail are doing well.

Don't talk the talk if you didn't walk the walk.

Want to put a bird dog on them when season starts?

Our new lease between Brownsville and port Isabel literally has thousands, we jump a covey of 25+ every 40-50 yards, and that's just along the road in the middle of the day.

Been hunting in this area for about 10 years now and it's better than 2005
