That's a nice set up. How are you going to keep the mice and snakes out? These campers are stick built. Framed like a house, but with 2x2's and sheathed with plywood. Take a peek at my RV nightmare thread to see construction. If intact, the framing is tight enough to keep out a cockroach. The camo... How did your dad do that? Very tight job there and looks to be well done.

Cast, I'd be wanting to know the cost of that "makeover", may be in the realm of what you're putting into yours. The interior would be worth it, Looks as nice as some of the refurbed airstreams I have seen.

He used spray paint and artificial leaves for the exterior. He paid $2000 for it in 1994 and spent $1350 on the remodel but that's not counting all the miller lite it took to finish it.

Does your dad do this for a living, or was this just a hobby thing? Reason I ask, he could probably do quite well buy and reselling old campers like that. How long did it take, assuming you worked an 8hr day at it? Just curious

The interior would be worth it, Looks as nice as some of the refurbed airstreams I have seen. I put some bucks into my RV this time. The heat pump and the fridge and handicrapper were big ticket items. I've got 3 grand in the framing repairs on my two annual repair sessions for the wall and floor rot. My RV is now tight and solid and everything works. Over the next couple of seasons I plan to work the interior, but my RV is shorter than the OP's RV so I don't have as many options. I mispoke earlier, his is a Traveller, mine is a Rambler, only 17' long. I paid $800 for the RV.
