I am looking at booking a hunt on a private ranch in New Mexico, Unit 17. Has anyone had any experiences with this Unit? I have been told there are some monsters in this unit but would like some firsthand feedback if anyone has anything to share..

You had an excellent experience there? Do you mind sharing any details?

Is 17 near the Gila? I am hunting unit 16 which is the Gila as well as 15 and they shoot mostly 160-180" deer with the chance at a 200", I assume 17 is not far from there so there should be some good deer.

Thanks Steve. I am not sure if it's near the Gila or not. I do know it's part of the Cibola National Forest.
