Any advise, experiences? Pics? What should my expectations be? First time I've been drawn for anything in about 20 years.

Thanks in advance.

Congrats. I grew up hunting a lease next door. Lots of deer and beautiful country!

If it was for the GDA, you should have plenty of opportunities to take Axis deer plus antlerless whitetails.

Congrats! A hunt any would be thrilled to go on.

Oh, don't know, I retired over a year ago the last of March.

Love spending time fishing and hunting instead of working and trying to figure out how much time to save for hunting and fishing.

Lucky! You have a good chance at an Axis hunting there. Some of the shots can be kind of long if you hunt down by the river. up

Our place is about 3 miles from S. Llano SP. That park is covered in axis and whitetail, should have a good hunt.

If you are hunting with a kid, take aren't blind and chairs. Their blinds were nice but one mans. Take alfalfa pellets or hay. Bring a big cooler. My son killed 3 axis and two white tails in 2 days! Good bullets will help lay the axis down. They are tough. We would shoot one, drag it behaves nod the stand and then be still for 30 min....boom! We lost two. Barnes -x in 270 or bigger for shoulder shots
