What are your thoughts on the cotton seed? Obviously the deer are giants but wanted to hear what Yall we're seeing as far as how they ate it in general and compared to the protein? We've thought about adding it to what we're already doing but weren't sure and haven't found anyone close to supply it. We currently have about 50 acres in food plots and are feeding about 30k lbs of protein a year. we buy our cottonseed from Hartzendorf Gin in Sinton - they deliver - best prices we have found

We're about 300 miles NNW of Sinton, the closest I've found is over around Abilene which is still over 100 miles from us. The other issue is compaired to what whe're paying for protein its almost the same price, not to mention the feed store lets us use the 3.5 ton feed trailer to put out the protein.

I am not sure I would see it as a substitute for protein at all - I think both together provide more choices for the deer

The pictures were taken twelve days apart not sure what you mean by "the bottom of the picture". Look at the distinctive bump on his left G3 about 2 inches up from his main beam seen in both pics. The tube of the protein feed makes his neck appear much larger than it is making him appear much older than the deer in picture 3.

It is two totally different areas - the last picture I blew up and cannot see the bump. Look at the bottom of each picture and it shows the brand of camera that takes the pics and they are two different cameras. It could be the same deer but if it is he traveled a hell of a long ways - also look at his brisket in the first pic versus the last pic - totally different

I get the picture wasn't taken at the same location. But I have pictures of bucks at different feeder locations all the time up to a couple miles apart. The brisket on most deer appears different from when there head is up or down as in these pics not to mention one is broad to quartered toward the camera and the other is broad to quartered looking away which would give the brisket a different appearance. I also think his G2 on his left side is blocking the view of his G5 on his right in the 3rd pick. Either way you've got unbelievable deer congrats and I know how much hard work and patience it takes to get to where Yall are!
