Anyone had any problems with the savage model 11? My wife's 243 had the stock Crack under the bolt knob cutout. It's had maybe 20 rounds through it. We carried it out last week to fill the feeders and left it in the truck all week. Surely the heat didn't cause it to crack?

I'm sure the heat didn't do it any good.

Lots of folks used to leave firearms in trucks in the good old days. In the good old days, they would also leave a window open a little bit so the heat would not build up so much.

Kind regards, charlesb

The stocks are pretty cheap so maybe the heat cracked it. You can always send it back to Savage, their customer service rocks.
