Looks like blood spatter coming out of gars mouth Good eye. It is blood but not the gars. This fish was coughing up his lunch I guess because he was hooked in the mouth. When we got him in he puked up some fishy, bloody, mess.

I've never done this type of fishing. Can you give us a quick lesson? What bait, steel leaders, treble hooks, fish on bottom, drift?? Just curious. Looks like a heck of a fight!!

I use 3/0 to 4/0 Mustad Trebles. I build my own steel leaders. Fish on bottom with fresh cut bait. Just give me a shout if you would like to try it out. I've got some days available.
