Caught by my friends last night. Hard to believe he's a boar and not a barr hog! He scaled 447 lbs at the taxi this morning. eek2 That boy been eatin', and no he didn't come from a high fence.

The dog that found and caught this hog sired two of my pups that are about to start on pigs.

This toad still has his juevos, big thick sucker.

He had decent hooks, his body was what was impressive.

Look at the jowels on this fat boy!

I've been hunting pigs for 25 yrs and only killed one that weighed over 400 lbs, so pretty exciting. He actually weighed a little more than 447 but they couldn't get all of his head off the ground when they winched him up on the scale at the taxidermist. They said for some reason this one never made a sound. Never squealed not even after being stuck. Wish I woulda been there cheers Big sucker, just thought I'd share.

So before someone asks, the dog is Irish Wolfhound/Scottish Deerhound/Great Dane mixed with a little mastiff. Not a small dog.

Big old pig. Bet that created a bit of adrenaline during the catch.

I second the call for a pic of the catch dog. Very cool.

I don't have any good pics handy of the dog that found and caught this pig, but here is a picture of my two pups that came from him. That's their momma in the back. He looks similar to my female (front right), and yes a lot of folks use these dogs to run down & kill coyotes. Sold two out of this batch to a yote hunter from West Texas.
