The 6.5 Creedmoor was designed for the AR-10 platform.
The 6.5 Grendel was designed for the AR-15 platform

The 6.5 Grendel was designed for the AR-15 platform ^^This^^ And the Grendel is pretty salty if the AR-10 platform is out of budget.

Regarding 6.5 Creedmoor
Fulton Armory sells Criterion Barrels, mine used to be a shooter - I miss that gun.

Forgive the ignorance, but is a 6.5 Grendel the same bolt face as the 5.56? Meaning is it just a barrel switch with a standard AR15?

So other than the bolt head (I assume the rest of the bcg is standard ar15) and the barrel, is the rest of the parts all standard ar15 parts; including magazines?

Different BCG, barrel and mags. The mags are different feed lips and follower. Trajectory on the grendel and the 308 are almost the same to 1k

Well doe's the 6.5 CM have a different bolt and mags? No the AR-10 is based off the 308. The 6.5 cm and 260 share the same size bolt face

Well doe's the 6.5 CM have a different bolt and mags? As far as I know the Creedmoor uses the same bolt and mags as the 308 in the AR10.

So I'm taking the 6.5 CM deer hunting, what factory ammo brand and bullet would you take? Also would this be the same for my Savage 11 bolt action?
