Well it was my first day of the season out for dove out in DFW and we have 1 dove to show for it. Luckily I got to sit back and enjoy an OpusX and spend time with a friend. We saw about 6 doves with only 1 that was in range of being shot. Looking forward to seeing all the pics this year and hearing about better days!

Same for me. Took my son, his friend and his friends dad. Saw about 10, they missed all (I wasn't shooting my son was using my gun). It was public land and the owner had just plowed it so I guess seeing some is better than none.
The good thing is the boys had fun and shot corn thrown in the air. They didn't care it wasn't a dove. Lol.

Thats what I got this morning. 1 dove. Saw about 15 but most were way to high for me. Think I shot 4 time and gave up. Good morning to spend time time with the dog but she had that puzzled look when we headed home.
A clear conscience is often the sign of a fuzzy memory.

I have to be honest, I was hoping it was just our luck. Love hearing ya'lls success stories. Hopefully we get the tide turned quick, that said, I will be on the water this Saturday for early teal

Had a slow day also. Saw 3 at the first place, took 2 with us. We moved to another field a few miles away and saw maybe 30 in the course of 1 1/2 hours. Alot of those were over 50 yards away. We were able to shoot at about 15 and brought in 3.

Got 13 at the deer lease in Montague Sat evening. I was pleasantly surprised at the numbers but I did have to scout a little to have confidence they would be there. They were full of sunflowers which there is plenty of wild ones everywhere.

Slow day on Saturday out by Eastland too, 12 guys and maybe 40 birds. Traditionally everyone has their limit before lunch so this year is definitely off, lets hope the cold front brings em in this weekend!
