Drug a snake out from under the pickup with a hoe... wouldn't want to use my shotgun for that... or shoot under my pickup. Also I think its frowned on to bust out the 12 ga on the side of the road roflmao No doubt scatter gun has its place though too!

Cool. I've only caught one in my life but would love to catch another one and a indigo snake.

I had to dispatch one in my backyard in Austin that was about that size.

Killed 2 around here last year. Gave one to a friend for his son's show and tell day. And the other is in my freezer. I know they are really poisonous but I don't ever recall hearing about anyone bit by one. Still with small dogs and grandkids, I don't take the chance.

I have only seen one live rattler, I killed him. But I have killed at least a dozen coral snakes. I even had one coming after me once.

I've never even seen a coral snake in the wild...neat snakes...I would love to find one...

...I did catch a really kool indigo over 6 ft long many, many moons ago (1975) between Crystal City and La Pryor.

Here's a Coral that I killed taking the trash out one night, kinda wish I wouldn't have killed it now. All they want to do is get the heck away from you, but I have little ones running around so I shopped off his head with my pocket knife.

and here's a little Indigo I caught and released at camp a while back...
