Anybody ever shot a Judge with a 3 inch barrel? How is the "kick" with a .410 in it?

I got one. It's pretty stiff, but not unmanageable by and means. Definitely not like firing a .50 cal.

To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

I have the public defender, and it has a two finger handle. It would be better if it had a three finger handle.

Really, while recoil is not that bad it is much stiffer than any 38 I have ever shot except for a real small one. The Ribber grips do help though.

The first owner of he one I have said his wife who he bought it for shot it one time and said NO the recoil was too much for her

The kick is not that bad. I bought one for shooting banana spiders and rattlesnakes, I haven't ran any 45 Colt through it yet.

I guess it's ones perception. I don't think my 460XVR pushing a 275gr @ 2100fps has a lot of recoil

Should have added this. He is a liver transplant recipient and thus bruises easily. In his mid 50's and I doubt that he has ever shot a pistol. He wants it for protection due to recent news articles.

True, a lot depends on the shooter and the gun. My 629 44mag is not bad but the 45-70 contender does rock a little

With .410 #6 shot, the one I have hits everything in front of the shooter. Very good for those who have little or no experience with a pistol.
