Found one my blinds had a open window . Barn owl has moved in and has a nest with 7 eggs . Never seen that many owl eggs , thought they had 1 or 2 . Will give her 30-40 days to hatch and move on ..

We had one move into one of ours and we never could get the smell out of the wood floor barf

On a positive note, I barely have a sense of smell and it kept most the other hunters out of the stand grin

That would make for a pretty cool series of pictures

We got invaded years ago by a pair of them. There was 3 inches of pellets in the bottom of it. The smell of ammonia and rot was way to much for me. Puke sounds different hitting the ground from 12 feet up.

The smell will last for month after your dig it all out and leave it open to air out.

Shouldn't they have hatched by now? Maybe they've already run their course.

Maybe a second clutch? Owls are better than buzzards....had a buzzard move into one of our stands....never fully got all the mess out....smell went away after several months.....

Had owls in a few of our blinds. I hunted a few of them with the mess in them. Was tuff to stomach sitting, but didn't seem to bother the deer one bit and must have been great cover scent. We knocked the big chunks out, new/old office chair new carpet on the floor from a dumpster in Waco, and sprayed the everything on the inside down with a gal of water and a cup of bleach. Good as new, I was amazed how well it cleaned them up.

I'm thinking they should have already hatched? We have two old wood blinds, both have owls with chicks that aren't far off from taking flight. We plan on taking these old stands down once they leave.

How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?
