We used some carpet that was on the curb, doubled up on the floor and put it up on the walls where your feet and rifle might clonk against it. Works pretty good and the price was right. Prolly helps a bit with insulation too.

Was gonna add that you could prolly goo to a carpet store to get a list of installers, you could get some old carpet from them, maybe even delivered. They'd probably prefer to give it to you instead of paying to go to the dump.

I ordered a couple pairs of 4'x8' acoustic foam sheets off the internet for about $80.

Not sure how sound proofing the blind works when you open the window to shoot? I have soft rubber matting on my floor to cut down on noise and my chairs do not make any noise. Being quite just comes naturally when out there.

Yep. But even though I can keep quiet I need as much help as I can get when I've got my 8, 10, and 12 year old daughters with me!

Red, what did you use to adhere the foam to the blind wall? Some glue or nails or combo?

Tried 3M spray adhesive but it loosed when the blind heated up in the sun. Loctite/liquid nails did the trick.

Side walls don't seem to be a noise problem, but movement on the floor sounds like beating a drum. Glued and screwed floor decking then covered with 1" thick cow mats. Can roll office chairs over it with no noise.

I'm thinking of putting some sort of foam next to the window. Seems like clumsy me keeps bumping my rifle against it.

I hunted out of my FIL's blind years ago before he stopped hunting. He had padding and carpet on the floor, foam board insulation on the walls/ceiling and then stapled camo blankets up to cover the insulation and pad the studs. Had small house windows on 3 sides and green mini blinds in each window. It was a nice set up. He gave that stand to one of his nephews when he got off the lease.

padding and carpet work best - easy to replace every couple years when needed.

How big is your blind? And how far are your shots? That's one heck of a shooting bench for inside a blind up

The thing about putting carpet on the walls gives me a concern. I hunted a friend's place years ago that had carpet all the way to the roof. And, yes, it was nice and quiet. But the first time that I hunted it was a cold morning. Nice, until the sun warmed things up, and then all the wasps that were snuggled under that stuff started to come out!! walking

Headliner material is fairly cheap on ebay and very light. Can get black, gray, camo or just about any color

I just used sheets of Owens/Corning foam insulation 1 1/2" thick on the walls and roof, and covered it with SPF plywood. I then painted the inside dark brown. On the floor,I installed 1/2" carpet pad and carpet.
