First time in three years the White Wing opener has let me down. Hunted near the Loop 410 & Hwy 16 intersection in S. San Antonio. Took three guys to shoot a one man limit, birds were just not moving as they normally do.

Winds were unusually high, I believe that's what scattered the birds.

Still great to be out in the woods though.

The birds were there on the opening day then gone the next day. I didn't do any hunts in the area but a good friend of mine has several fields near the 410 loop and he gave me the report.

I have seen a big push of birds the last 2 days in my area fields. From Refugio to Alice to Riviera, right now we are holding good numbers. Hopefully the cooperate another 3 weeks, only time will tell.
