I think I have seen 3 now. 1 of those was about 10 days ago when he started to rub out. All are young though.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

About half and half in my clay county lease. Have some nice bucks I am wanting to see hard horned too, just to see what the drop off will be in mass. Problem is it's all a tease, they won't show up during the season

Watched 2 big non typical bucks in velvet for several evenings during September a decade ago. They both came up missing and I thought they were both dead until I killed the bigger of the 2 later on an ending December. He was with a spike and a doe in a late season feeding pattern. I found one the other bucks sheds a few seasons later that had been gnawed on by rats an mice and was faded, but never saw him again. I judged the bigger buck at 170 and the smaller at 160. The bigger buck grossed out at 167. It was one of my more gratifying hunts for a white tail.
Recently got a gym membership, strange folks! I like to show up the roid zombies with my full motion curls with the 55lb. bells. Not their cheater short stroked light weights. It's holarious.

Saw three hard horned young bucks yesterday and friend said that 5 out of 8 had shed in his back yard. He said they were all young bucks. East Tx.

As of 10 days ago all still in velvet. I'll be going tomorrow to refill protein feeders, hang stands, and pull cards. I'll post whethere or not they are still velvet. North Wise County near Montague county line.

Llano and Burnet county, most of the mature bucks have lost their velvet. Some smaller bucks are still in velvet. Some really nice horns this year.

Just on the outskirts of San Antonio (SE side,) I had camera photo of a 2.5 year old nice looking 8 pointer out of velvet, chocolate antlers on September 3rd. Last year (at same location) bucks with same size racks and same age were not out of velvet till last days of September. I think that a better, wetter season may be the difference?

On 9/1 I had my first hard horn show up on the game camera. As of 9/11, I had one other buck go hard horn, all others are still in velvet. Hunting in Jack and Wise county.
