 My Nikko 5000 Golden Eagle These are great shotguns made at the Nikko plant in Japan. They were made along side the Winchester 101 over unders This one is 25 years old and still works like a champ. It has a full / modified barrels. Thought Yall might like to see it.

Very nice! I thought I read that they made a semi auto too, right? I did a lot of research on Nikko a few years ago. I have a Nikko Magnum Hunter III, pump action, that I won at a Ducks Unlimited Banquet in 1983. I was offered $400 for it the night I won it, lol. I guess I should have taken it, cause I don't think I could get that now. I looked the ENTIRE internet over, researching that gun. And we have a Nikko o/u at the pawn shop I work at, but it's not a Golden Eagle, and not near as pretty as yours.

Golden Eagle made some really nice rifles as well. Cosmetically they are on par with the Mark V by Weatherby although I wouldn't put the quality up there with them. They are still pretty high quality guns though that have more than doubled in price in recent years.

I have a hi grade 2200 trap gun that I enjoy greatly. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow afternoon.

Yes sir ! The Japanese have very strong quality and craftsmanship standards.
They didn't cut any corners on these shotguns or rifles. Like the Mikoru company that makes the Browning Citori. The Mikoru shot guns are a step above the Browning in my own opinion and cost less.

Dang, didn't know there were so many Nikko's around? I swear I can't, or couldn't, find a shotgun like mine anywhere...I'm talking books, internet, the fine folks at Shotgun World... I found lots of stuff about the Golden Eagles though. And as far as I could tell, anything with golden eagle on it fetched a pretty good dollar. Mine's buried at the very BACK of my safe. I guess I should dig it out and look at it again, oil it, and put it back up.
