 Lumley arms bedding for tikka

Has anyone used the Lumley bedding kit for a Tikka? Does it improve the rigidity of the stock? Does it effect accuracy?

The way Tikka's fit into the stock, they generally do not need to be bedded. But if they have a way to bed it, then it can only help it.

When I put my T3's in the B&C stocks, I didn't bed them. Paid very close attention to the torque on the action screws, though. Both barrels float and shoot sub-MOA with my handloads, so I'm happy.

The Tikka stock has a contact point built into the stock about half way between the recoil lug and the front sling connection. In other words it is NOT a free floated stock. If you want to bed the action and free float the barrel, there is a kit available. It would be a project but it would probably be worth it. It does not truly bed the action...

I am certainly no expert but I have wondered why it has been said Tikka's do not need to be bedded. It would seem to me that any bolt action rifle would benefit from bedding. I have seen this Lumley kit and plan to try it on my 22-250 and see what, if any, improvement is gained.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............
