Might ask the vet but thought I'd ask y'all first.

My lab is 9 years old and we went out for opening morning yesterday. It was a very busy morning for her with several people shooting limits. Last night I went to rub her back hips and she let out a whelp. I didn't press hard just a casual rub. She also did not want to jump in the back of the truck.

Is it just general soreness or could it be the start if something more? I don't plan on taking her back out for a few days at least.

She could be real sore if you don't work her enough or keep her in shape at that age. But my guess is it's probably something more

Lying is lying. Don't bitch about one doing it and condone another. That's called hypocrisy.

Haven't taken her out since the opener. Just brought her outside and she seems fine now. Jumped in the truck with no problems. Hoping it was just soreness.

Both of mine were/are sore from the opener. We were all lazy bastards this off season. I dunno about the yelp though. Mine must be tougher than yours. wink

Third limit of the season. Didn't get a pic of them all tonight. Here was the opener.
