Cool Hunt! I got a bonus hog on the way in, broad daylight, still hot out, and just happened to see the hog at one of the feeders I pass by on the way to my normal hunting spot. I had to turn around and trek up hill to get to a shooting position and then had a bit of trouble seeing the hog. I had set up on the ground and it turned out that I was trying to view and shoot the hog through vegetation, heated by the sun, that distorted the view. I was still able to pick out the right landmarks and put the shot on the shoulder just fine. The second shot was from a tower stand, middle of the night, unobstructed view. This really gives a good idea of what the scope can do. It was a smaller hog at a greater distance and I had no problem putting the pipper where I wanted it. The Armasight Predator will certainly hunt!

That was awesome! Great shooting skills by the way, congrats!
There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter.

Awesome video. I looked up the Predator model and It appears thermals are starting to come down in price.

YES, yes they are!
I am not a fan of the 160x120 resolution scopes, even with a bunch of magnification. I really think 320x240 is about the lowest resolution that is still broadly functional. How that gets dressed up with a lens and other features can be significant. Scopes like the Predator are not the cutting edge high end technology. They are sort of like the "Deluxe" version of car models - nothing fancy, but gets the job done at a reduced price.
It also helps that in general, prices have come down as competition has increased and new models have been offered. That the various companies had not given much thought to this lower end market previously is just a shame. I suspect it will generate a lot of sales. Not everyone wants, needs, or can afford the higher end gear, but scopes like the Predator help fill the niche for those who might not otherwise buy a scope.
I said this back when I got to use a Pulsar Apex XD50. Had that scope, or now, had the Predator, been around a year ago at these prices when I bought my Zeus last year, I would be hunting with an Apex or a Predator right now. They have the capabilities to do what most folks need to have done when it comes to night hunting.

Good exhibition of the product. I'm looking to pick up a secondary thermal in the next six months but I'm leaning toward the IR Patrol. Price could be a determing factor. I'll go see what these are going for.
Nice hunt as usual.
Cheers
