I've got a co-workers that is interested in getting on a lease. They're probably gonna try to do a weekend or two on a day lease this season and try to get a season lease for the 2016 season. Does anybody have any recommendations for a day lease within 3 hours of DFW that is at least decent. I think they'd be happy to get a doe or two, but obviously wouldn't mind taking a buck either. Thanks fellas.

I'd say look through the "lands and Leases" section, they come up in there more than anywhere. Or see if a MOD will move your post to that section.

I started a new thread in the "land and Leases" section, but if anybody would like to still make a comment here that'd be fine too. I'll be checking both, unless the moderators want to delete this thread.

I personally would not do a day lease. Rather, I would just book a couple doe hunts on established and quality ranches. Cost will be the same or less, and the experience probably better.

Guaranteed Does are probably not any more money than a day lease for a day and you will get a deer.

Thanks guys, that's a much better idea. I will keep an eye out for doe hunts in the "guides and outfitters" section for my newbie co-worker. I think having their hunt at a well managed ranch will be a much better introduction to deer hunting then some shot-out, over-pressured day lease. Maybe they'll see some nice bucks and get hooked on hunting, this would be my hope for him and his young family. Thanks, again fellas.
