A little late notice, but are there any snake avoidance classes going on this weekend in DFW? Was planning on taking my pup out dove hunting next weekend, and it never occurred to me until now to do the avoidance class.

I might also get the vaccine, would that be enough, or should I do both the vaccine and the class?

On Saturday I will be south of you in Paige, Texas at Best retrievers. On Sunday I will be near Beaumont at Salt Grass Retrievers. That will conclude the circuit. Sept 13 I have a small clinic in Bay City.

Walt, Out of town and wife called yesterday about 2 year old Pup face swelling. Told her Snakebite. She Took him down to vet for help. I arrived late last night and 12 year old female Ridgeback laying in bedroom and same thing. Copperhead. Musta got hit at same time. Met Vet at 9 pm last night for shots. She's not doing too good this morning, He's fine. Your clinic would be worth every penny.

Well I am sorry I didn't get to them. It pains me to know any dog would be suffering from a snakebite. Keep us posted please.

Yeah the old Dog (Penny) ain't doing so hot. The young Guy is okay. Have 5 cats out here and they have taken care of them for years and kill all things around ranch house. The snake (Don't know if copperhead or rattler) musta slipped though the non climb horse fence into yard as they (dogs) never are allowed to run free out here. They are house dogs with pet door in mancave to go in and out. They are usually in. They like the AC,LOL! Wife just went into Vet to get her some liquid antibiotics as the poor thing can't open her mouth for pills. They loaded Penny up last night with injections. The younger guy was taken in after lunch yesterday and wife didn't see the old girl as she was a laying on petbed in bedroom. Must have got bitten at same time. I saw her when I arrived late last night and met Vet at Clinic. Thankfully Hopper (14 year old) 140 pound Dane/Boxer mix sleeps all the time now with His feet up and didn't get in the middle of it. Probably would have lost him.
