It's closed due to flood damage.

I hope so...we saw lots on the pipeline a few years ago! Also sent one to its maker! Of course, we almost died from all the insect bites!

That would be kinda sad...seemed like there was plenty of hog down there and the pipeline made it easy to walk around. Also heard it was good deer country, too, but I don't hunt those.

Some of those wildlife biolgist their would love for it to be a research only place, they look at hunters as a necessary evil, but I don't believe the state will allow them to prevent public usage of the area and that includes hunting. It (the deer hunting) is terribly restricted compared to the way it was immediately after RC lake was built, from 1987-1999 it was type II land and you could bowhunt out there all deer season, d@mn shame its so restricted now...

Dont be so hard on em... Few years back, when health was better, stopped & talked ta biolgist... He asked if just getting their, said yep... He told me was too late, need ta get here earlier... rofl back then they relied on forms filed out of what hunters see... Again, not an expert, was seeing plenty of deer... After chatting, got in climber & seen two bucks & doe... They had no 13" limit back then, both bucks were wider than 13" one did have one side completly knocked off... bang i blew it that day, discussing best time for hunting... Its been Archery only for deer... Rifle, & youth draw hunts... They opened one side for use of ATV... On drawhunts, they recomended use of ATV for draw hunts... scratch maybr if ya complain enough, they might go back to archery at RCWMA, people have me on ignorance list ... Junting is getting ta be about the Big Bucks ... Times is tough... As many have stated gotta pay ta play ... Still Proud Supporter of WMA Scrapped up enough for couple days ta hunt last year end of the hog general hunts, found out not a sales person, rofl couldnt even give away two free week membership... Gov. still spying on me ever since found out got alien body parts... flag

Well if they don't have the funds to maintain it maybe they shouldn't have built that water treatment project in the middle of a floodplain thats gonna get inundated bad every 10 years of so, stupid is as stupid does...

After teal season, youth hunts, draw hunts, thanksgiving youth/adult hunts, and first split are all over, I will give y'all a Richland Creek WMA waterfowl update. Coach

Why is dove season only the first 11 days of september?, looks like you can only hunt the north unit too...
