Pointed west tomorrow a.m. to fill feeders for the first time on a new place with the other 3 guys. Our goal is 12 feeders and blinds operating and functional by Saturday morning. Gee, I hope they listen to me when I remind them I'm the old guy of the bunch.

Sounds like Terrell country. Love that country. DesertHunter has one heck of a ranch out there. Great WT and MD. Trying to get out there this year.

I think I'm not too far from him. Leased a place a couple of years ago a mile south of where we'll be and I know he's a neighbor of that ranch.

I have 5 feeders and they just about kill me, these days. I need those ground-fill feeders, like Ramball makes.

It is supposed to be a hot weekend, take care and good luck. I have been working weekends for a few month getting all set up, glad to have it done. Ready for Oct 3.

I'll be making 2nd trip out this weekend. Need to top off feeders, switch one unit out and trim all shooting lanes. Then need to try and get windows on blinds and debug them. Can't wait to see what is on the cameras.

Can't wait to see what is on the cameras. That reminds me, I have A LOT of trimming to do and I live here I even bought on of those electric poles saws this past winter to make it easier using my small generator, plus have to get my plot done before I leaver for Colorado Elk hunt in Oct. Time is getting short for us procrastinators.

My son-in-law and I are heading out West to do the same this weekend. This is one old man who's NOT looking forward to humping those corn bags about!

There is a feed store in Fort Stockton that has an auger trailer and bulk feed. Might check into renting it or having them fill feeders if they are not to far from you.

I predict that after this party, we'll be checking into that. This is a big combination of learning curve and letting friends figure things out for themselves.

While he is filling the feeders open two beers, one for you and one for him. First time I went to my buddies place to help them fill feed we took 3 full wrapped pallets of protein, 1500 lbs of bulk corn in barrels. They now have a feed buggy.

12 feeders up and running. Took some robbing from the junk yard at the ranch dump and a little cussing and team ingenuity, but they're "on line" and it's looking promising.
