Has anybody hunted pronghorn in Colorado on public land with an OTC license?

Never hunted them in CO but dodged them in the truck plenty of times.

The OTC units I think are the western units and that's mostly BLM land. Won't be an easy hunt for a non resident that doesn't have much time to explore and scout.

What BOBO said. The area I hunt in most has a decent herd of goats, but they are protected. No hunting period. A large part of the areas that they are, seem to be on private lands, but I heard a couple fellas hunted them around Alamosa CO when I lived up there. Front range has good populations, but a majority of that is private land.

I have heard there is some public opportunity near Walsneburg, but don't know for sure.

My two cents... I'd look at NM and AZ and PP CO until you got the points you need for the good Public units.

Or a road trip to Wyoming
