Okay, I have about 200 prepped and primed .223 cases for my new AR (if it ever gets here). When I go to charge ands seat bullets. I can:

1. weigh each charge on my Charge Master, very accurate but will take all weekend.
2. Set up my Uniflow, set charge by using 10-10 Scale, Then "throw charges", re check every 20 rnds?

What type accuracy "fall off" if any would I see?

I throw all mine one at a time on the chargemaster. Before I got it I threw them one at a time into my beam scale and trickled up. It wont take you long.

If you are using a ball powder, it will meter well in the uniflow and be very consistent. If you are using a larger extruded powder, it won't flow that accurate in the uniflow, so I'd use the CM. What powder are you running?

As Chad said it depends on powder. If it flows well the uniflow will be fine.

Agree on the using ball powder with the powder drops, ran some 6.5 Grendel through the crony a few weeks ago. 11fps ES and .6 inch group @ 100 yards for 10 shots the charges were 30.6 grains of CFE223 with 130gr Berger hybrids. Accurate enough for me

If it is an extruded cylindrical powder, the Chargemaster will throw 50 charges in ~25 minutes (max). So your 200 cases will take 200 minutes, or 3 hours 20 minutes.

Sometimes I will load 50 or 100, then do something else for a hour of three, then get back to it.

I have been getting everything but primers done to the brass. While the Chargemaster is running I prime with an RCBS hand primer to keep my hands busy. When that's done I work on the label for the box of ammo.

I load all my 223 cases in my Hornady LNL progressive press. I get 1" and better groups at 100yds and 2" groups at 200 yds. I really don't feel any type of automatic electric powder drop is necessary. Just my opinion.

I use a Lyman 1200 auto thrower/trickler. Works pretty darn fast. Once the brass is ready, I can run through 100 reloads very fast. I use H335 for most loads these days and it meters very quickly and easily, and accurately. Even with the auto charge unit however, the extruded long grain powder takes a bit longer if you want each load to be exactly the same. Throws with the long grain aren't as accurate as with that dust they call ball powder.

I used to use a Lyman 55 to throw and an RCBS 1010 to weigh charges, but that's in slow motion compared to the auto units. I still use the Lyman for pistol.

Uniflow is your friend, especially if it came free from a friend. It doesn't like to meter logs though. I use a free D-5 to check and set.

To set my Uniflow, I always throw 10 charges in the pan and weigh. When 10 charges weigh 265 grains I am confident I'm throwing 26.5 grain charges, plus and minus the inevitable inconsistency. That said, I try to stick to spherical powders or fine-grained extruded powders like Benchmark or LT32. I only use these in high volume cartridges like .222 and .223 though. I always use extruded powders in the larger cartridges and put my Chargemaster to work.

Sphericals do work best in the Uniflow, but I believe the fine-grained extruded powders measure very nicely.
