thanks for the replies guys. Pretty sure I had the scope cover closed. We were using a bullseye type target on the back of a 50lb bag of deer corn. Put it on a tree 100 yards away. Could see the bag, but couldnt distinguish the target to know where the crosshairs were aimed.

My Photon came with a scope cover that has a hole in it. Can shoot in the daylight very easily. Might use one of those dark "Shoot N See" targets for better contrast.
My Pulsar N750 is useless in the daylight unless I put the target in some dark woods.

I have found that when sighting the Photon in during bright daylight it helps me to put a towel over my head and eye piece to help improve the contrast on the screen. I also have the rubber eye piece off mine as I find it easier to use when sitting in a stand at night. The Photon will function during the daylight but that's not what I use it for as its on a dedicated night vision rig that will handle the transition from day to night and vice versa. Mine has held zero perfectly since I originally zeroed it and I'm so happy I don't have to continue dealing with all the "bug fixes" on the endless updates on my prior nightmare with brand "A's" "game changer".

MArty, Try using a target like I suggested above. Its by far the easiest. Just aim at the corners.
I left the eyepiece on mine for the time being so I didn't need the towel, but I agree you need to get the light out of the lens to be able to see. I haven't had an issue with it not holding zero either. I am definitely glad I didn't go through the headaches the x-sight users have been through. Seems like they might have them fixed now, or at least usable. Would be nice to have a color screen during the day, but for now its my night time rig.

I have a Photon and went to sight it in at 100 yards a couple of weekends ago at the lease, during the daytime, and couldn't distinguish the target. Anyone else have this issue? I bought it mostly to use at night, but was disappointed in the view during daylight. Mustanger is correct. During the day keep the lens cover closed. And there is 2 focus knobs on it. As far as a target. Instead of using a standard target, I made one in excel. All it is, is black blocks about 2 inches wide by 4 inches tall. I put 2 per normal paper size spread out. And instead of aiming at the center of the black target, aim at the coryners of the blocks. Its easier to hold the cross hairs on the edge. Hope your following me. Ok, I didn't understand this at first, but now I do. That's a good idea. Thanks for the suggesiton.

Marty- No Problem good luck. I also noticed if I adjusted it at night it was pretty much focused for daytime.
And I also forgot to add you have to adjust the brightness of the scope. Knob on the side. I don't remember what number I have mine set to but if you go up to high it whites the picture out. So there are really 3 adjustments. 2 for focus and 1 for brightness.

My Pulsar N750 is useless in the daylight unless I put the target in some dark woods. I don't want to derail this thread but I have the 850 and put a 1/8" hole in the center of the cover. Makes all the difference in bright sunlight.
