I gave up on my smoker years ago but I still like baby back ribs and pulled pork at home, especially with the sales on pork. Both taste just fine with liquid smoke, and dry rub in a cooking bag.

These spent the night in the frig. They'll go in the oven at 225 after my dump cake comes out.

The ribs are in the oven. I'll eat them with baked beans and coleslaw.

The dump cake came out fine.

That'll be a few meals. Good leftovers though.

I'll have them tonight, Monday, and Friday from the bag which will stay in the frig, then I'll freeze the bag for awhile. The baking dish will go back into the cabinet without washing. Baby back ribs will probably go back on sale Labor Day. I don't eat them that often. I think I got these Memorial Day.

Mama just took out a twin pack of St Louis cut ribs. I'll smoke them tomorrow to remind you how it's done.

The beans take about an hour. They are out of the oven and resting. I like them to set up but completely dry out. I topped them with one and a half slices of bacon. I'll make three meals out of this batch.




The coleslaw in in the refrigerator. Try a little dash of cayenne in your current coleslaw recipe.

The meat fell off the bones a little but I can abide that. They were delicious. I have a perfect sting on my lips.



One of the great things about this meal is there is no cleanup. Here's my kitchen after it was over.

Pineapple
Cherry Pie Filling
Yellow cake mix
Coconut
Pecans
Butter (1 stick) melted on top
Bake until golden at 350
