As the title says I've ordered the thermal scope but want to go ahead and order a recorder that will work with it as well. The scope will be here next week and I would like to be able to have the recorder installed & working for it's first night out.

Any hints, or tips, on recording with thermal equipment would be appreciated. Eventually I'll be asking about editing software, and other ancillary things.

I use the Sightmark CVR640, just remove the batteries when its being stored.

Please give a short review of the XD50A once you're had time to play with it. Thanks!

Might be a while ... his wife just found out how much money he spent on it.

You guys act like what the wife thinks ever plays a part in the purchase of "toys". Right!

I just bought my wife a Louis Vuitton purse so I'm set to buy anything I like for quite a while.. That was the deal.

Her purse was close to retail price of the scope.. :-( I may have to buy her the matching wallet if I want the DVR recorder... So, the lesson here is that I pay TWICE as much as you guys for anything because I have to buy the wife something of equal or greater value each time I buy something.. See how that works? Don't tell your wives as they may institute a similar policy.
