Me and Derrick have been talking about the 280 AI I am having built. We were discussing colors I am going to post a pic of the stock and let me know what yall would do. I think I am gonna let them just trick it out but ideas never hurt.

I can't get the pic to post but it is a Manners EH-1 in Elite Tactical Black Forest

I think they look good dressed up but when I did mine I couldn't bring myself to do anything to it. I wanted it plain. You will like the elite tactical. At least I love mine.

If you are talking about Derrick from Horizon I gave him free reign on the 280 AI he built for me (color and fluting). He knew not to get too wild and the rifle turned out very nice. He makes sure that the rifles he builds not only shoot well but look good too.

I would choose a more traditional looking barrel than a giant cork screw.

Is this the stock color?

If so, look at ACU Green. That's the color I went with on my rifle and I really like it.

I was debating on what fluting I wanted this time but went ahead and gave in to the large spiral flutes (yes the corkscrew). Other that the barrel length I am not real sure just what color it will be.
The 280 AI that he built shoots factory stuff less than .5 inches. He is working up a load right now with the 160 Accubonds that I like.

I really like the Spiral flutes I know some don't but oh well different strokes I guess. Have you ran any of the 150 Accubond LR?

Yes, I have used the factory 150 LR and the rifle shot it well. I gave him some ammo and I thought he was going to use it on a build.
Have him show you the tear drop fluting. He did that on my .280 AI, the bolt too. I had no idea just what he was going to do. It looks real good. Can't remember if he has that one on his site any longer. He does have the bull I killed with it on the site though. Love that rifle.
