Is it legal to have an unloaded cased rifle in the duck boat with you? Say if you wanted to shoot a pig or deer if in season.

It depends on where you are I believe. On WMA lands you might run into a problem. On private you're good. Loaded or unloaded is not the issue. Unloaded guns are useless.

wal is right about the WMA's

check the regs for each WMA on the TPWD site if you plan on hunting one

Nope you don't want to do that,illegal to shoot across water,in most places. In the past we could but the days of flote hunting are gone except for waterfowl hunting violin
