Several months ago I posted a question about feeder pens and sheep on our newly acquired property. I did as I said and built a 60' diameter pen to enclose my corn broadcast and free choice protein. Good deer activity from day one with no sheep in or around pen.

My FIL and some of the other guys who have their spin feeders OUTSIDE their protein pens are rethinking their setups after pulling their SD cards for the first time. 1500+ pics of sheep chomping down their corn almost brought a smile to my face.

Guess they should have sought out advice from the good ole THF as I did up

Good job. I have the same issue with cows. Now everyone wants a hand building pens, it ain't that hard.

There is a thread in the OT about learning stuff the hard way. They may be able to contribute to that thread. rofl

Greatness. THF, where all questions are answered, and all doubt is laid to rest. Good luck this season.

My FIL and his buddies are the "know it all's" on the lease so I just sit back and laugh. I do find it rather ironic that they are using my game pics for their shooter buck ID's and aging process. clap

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Had a friend with a similar situation. On advice from myself and others, he built a pen with 4" square panel. His buddies built theirs with paneling that had 6" squares. Fast-forward and about 4 weeks after putting up the pens they get a call from the rancher. Seems they had two goats that got stuck in the 6" panels and died. He asked them to re-build and to drag off the carcasses.
My friend did the 'sit in the shade and drink an adult beverage' while they took care of things. grin clap banana cheerleader

Pay it forward - Kids are the future.

Rifles are similar to boats and young women...there's no end to how much money you can pour into them without making them any more useful.

Yea sucks for them. Our LO was very clear on what paneling we should use to prevent the sheep from getting hung up. I was the only member to use 34" panels and the others used 52" which seems overkill at this point.
