I have one at my lease that seems to work fine, with the exception of the wind gauge that seems to indicate low readings. Still, these are good to have at your deer lease for checking the temp after getting up and tracking barometric pressure. However, they are not all created equal when it comes to accuracy.

Which one do you have? I've been looking into getting a better one. Right now mine only tells a few things. I'd like one that tracks rain, tells wind speed, and everything else. The one I am looking into is around $200 I think.

I don't own one of these bit I'm good friends with the owner and he sells these all over the world. A few years ago he sold a bunch of them to the King Ranch and a few other large ranches. He's got them at his house in Port Aransas, cabin in Wyoming, and his property in Commerce. Makes it very easy to get on your phone and check the exact weather at a particular station. http://txwx.com

I have an AcuRite model and would give it a C+. The ones made by La Crosse seem to get good reviews.

I've considered buying one but then found the web site Wundermap. A neighbor about 1/4 mile away has an expensive weather station of some kind and I just look at his location. However, sometimes his professional set up slightly disagrees with my rain gauge. And, I live 70 miles from my land. I'm generally only interested in rainfall amounts.

Now that's a cool website and app for sure. Thanks for sharing.
