I buy my one ounce 20 gauge shells at Academy and I don't miss.

When I order ammo online, I usually go to www.gunbot.net. Have purchased from several venders on that site with good success.

My ammo is all bought, paid for, and stored away. I assemble my ammo in the gun room. Buying lead shot is best done locally as shipping is a killer. I don't duck hunt anymore. I couldn't load that stuff without some study and supplies.

Get you a good reloader and load them yourself. Costs a little to get started but then you are set. Get enough supplies to get you going then watch for sales and deals for adding to your stock. I let myself run out of powder last year and had trouble finding some till recently. I have enough now to last a few years but I am going to be on the lookout for more between now and then to make sure that doesn't happen again.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

I'm with CC, I've fallen head over heals for the 16 gauge so I load a lot of them and can make what I want

Agreed. And not only that, you can do "specialty" loads, sort of like you're looking for. I do a 28 ga. shell with copper plated No. 6 shot that travels 1275 fps. No factory I know of loads those. Deadly on pheasant.
