Ran in to this company at the TTHA show and am considering them for a 6.5 Grendel. Never heard of them before but I was impressed with their guns. Does anybody have any experience with them or their guns they could share?

I ordered a 556 upper from them, took forever and is very inaccurate so far with 55 gr. I am going to try a new scope and heavier bullets.

Alexander Arms IS the 6.5 Grendel , designed by Bill ALEXANDER.
I chatted with the nice folks from AA at the TTHA show, they have just about every base covered in terms of Hunter, Shooters, Operators, Etc.
Last thing I will add is the 264 LBC shoots 6.5 Grendel ammunition so you can check for guns in that caliber as well.
Goodluck!

Bill Alexander can be a real jackass to deal with at times. Yes,the 6.5 Grendel and 50 Beowulf are his babies, and that's the main reason I built a 458 SOCOM several years ago. I personally won't support any of his products with the past talks I've had with him,but some guy's really like them.

The Gren has been my primary hog rifle for five or six years now. Flawless performance. The little 6.5 pill has some nice ballistics, too.
Me and ol' RUGER, 74 years and still shooting.

I'd like to hear some of the bad experiences. Was it due to bad customer service, availability of parts, or the guy is just too full of himself. He spent a lot of time with me and seemed very genuine. Of course I was the only one at his booth also.

My gun 17 HMR literally blew up with Hornady Ammo. Called customer services and they told me to go fly a kite. Read on many forums that others had this same experience. If you build a custom gun it should be able to handle the most common factory ammo and not destroy itself on the 3rd shot. You would also expect a company to stand by a $1200 product and not tell the customer "At your own risk".
This is my experience. IF you cannot make a gun to shoot a 17 HMR how can you make a gun to shoot a bigger caliber. They are not a mass produced gun company they are a semi custom shop. Quality control should be high on their list but clearly it is not.

Quality control should be high on their list but clearly it is not. Basically every 17 HMR semi-auto was recalled at one point. It was due to the ammo manufacturers not being able to produce ammo consistently. Not sure why this round was so hard to make but I had a .17 hmr blow up on me as well, and it wasn't a AA. The ammo was the culprit from everything that I read, and for a while no one was making .17 HMR semi-autos because of this.

I've actually got a .17 HMR Remington and never shoot it anymore because they haven't been able to design a clip for the thing that will feed that casing consistently. Talked with the factory and they are fully aware of the issue and have been trying to solve it since day one. It constantly jams and destroys the BT on the bullet or crushes the casing.

Bill was cool to me on the phone. I called and ordered in some 50 Beowulf ammo, and ordered a 6.5 Grendel from them. I also ordered dies, and brass from him. He sent me Lapua brass for AA brass price, because he was out of AA brass.

Have you received the 6.5 yet? What style did you order and if you have it what do you think?
