To those who are concerened about te kids who cant afford a couple hundred for it ...waaawaaawaaa. A erfect exampe of whats wrong with America... "If we all cant afford it, then no one should have it". What kid cant go mow some lawns to make $200 over the summer?? These kids are senirs. If they want something like this, get out and earn it

When did you graduate from high school?

Most of these kids take AP classes which means they are buried in home work, play two or three different sports and have other school activities. BTW, most are working in the summer just to help buy a vehicle and part time during school to pay for gas etc.

This ain't the good old days of the 60's,70's & 80's where you simply take regular courses study during the school year with no additional summer class work. Back then you could get a $1,000 ride that wasn't bad for a kid and insurance was reasonable, good luck with that.

I want my children to focus on their academic excellence so they just might have a decent chance of having a career they will enjoy

In my opinion, it is the bleeding hearted liberals and corrupt politicians taking hard working folks money and giving it to people who can but refuse to work,special interest groups, support for illegal aliens, outsourcing to many jobs to Asia, unjust corporate subsidies and over seas tax shelters and the pandering to certain groups that have been getting special considerations and benefits for way to long now

So let the kids be kids and enjoy their high school experience

I graduated in '03. Had a part time job my junior and senior year, a full time job during the summer, took AP classes and got into A&M, where I continued to work throughout, graduated and bought the company that i worked for. All the while my roomates who had no job sat around all day smoking weed and not going to class. Im not trying to be a cocky [censored], but I just think kids should have some sort of job in high school.
