 Built my first picture frame

Well I've been building a lot of stuff lately and had a few things laying around I wanted to frame so I watched a couple youtube videos and decided to give it a try. First I had to build a couple jigs to make the process a little easier. First I built a mitre sled and then a spline jig. Mitre jig allowed me to get perfect 45 degree cuts and spline jig allowed me to reinforce the corners without nails or screws. I started with a 1x2 piece of oak and then I cut the notch in the back for the glass and and cardboard. Then I cut 1/8 inch grooves on the face of the wood to add a little character. Finished it off with some walnut stain and clear coat. Jigs Mitre sled  Spline jig  Gluing together with splines after initial glue up  Finished product for way cheaper than having a professional do it

Great job on the frame My grass looks the same. I thought that was how grass was supposed to look in August

Yes I know my grass looks terrible Your is a shade of green. Most of mine is different shades of tan. but its native so a bit of rain works wonders.
