Gentlemen, looking for opinions on this revolver. It looks very good for the price: $560. It will do double duty, used for hunting and home defense. I really like the fact that it holds seven rounds. Opinions?

I was looking at the .22 WMR Tracker, and after a bunch of research I determined that the Taurus revolvers (all calibers) weren't there quality-wise. Seemed they had lots of problems, and that customer service was frequently lacking. Personally, I would go with the S&W 686 for ~$100-150 more, or perhaps look into the Ruger revolvers.

I have a Titanium Tracker in .45 Colt, and it's been great. That said, I've heard the titanium guns have better QC than most of their products.

The 7 rds is nice, but ive had nothing but bad luck with taurus. However, the ruger blackhawk has been a fine pistol, wish i never go rid of it.

Taurus makes great revolvers, especially the tracker series. I've got a model 85 (snub 38) and my buddy has a tracker in 22, and they're both great guns.

I've had a few Taurus pistols. Never had a problem with them but I never liked the triggers. I like my Rugers. Have a couple in .327 both 7 rounds. And a .357 GP100.

I owned one briefly. I had problems with the cylinder staying locked in place. I would get a smith or ruger. Much better built for the price.

I have trackers in both 22lr/22mag and in 17 hmr. They all have performed flawless through 1000 rounds each. Great guns

Have no experience with Taurus revolvers, however, like okstatefan says, GP100 for about the same price. IMO, Ruger is the king of revolvers. You won't find a better one.

I've had the Tracker in 357, WMR and HMR. Never had a single problem with any of them. The HMR did require a regular cleaning.
