Well it could be a PR move or... business. The AR world has been flat for over a year. If you don't believe me look on line, every warehouse/manufacture has a "sell" on them. I'm selling NEW ARs at what I paid for a used one in 1985.

Agreed.....I think the market got flooded with AR's, especially for the budget of your average Wal-Mart shopper.

You can just imagine how many people have their wives screaming in their ear.....

It appears that WalMart is going stop selling tactical style weapons with high mag capacity. Not due to pressure from anti gun nuts but from a "Consumer Trend" in the down turn of sales on those such items. How convenient in a time of all of this anti gun owner crap.

WM here in Marble Falls had none. Had sold out of all auto loading shotguns at good prices. Had mini 14 for 724. Asked clerk when it was going to go on clearance with all the other guns WM is clearing out and he looked at me like I was insane. The clearance stickers where the shotguns had been were still hanging and I pointed that out and he said "hmmph"......thought that was kinda funny he had no idea

Mansfield was out of ARs, the girl said they sold the last one Sunday, but didn't notice the price.
The had a 10/22 for $199 and a 30.06 Ruger American for $299, Mini 14 for $699

Two of the three funny posts in reference to my outlandish exclamation were by friends. I have a couple more friends here so I expect a couple more funny posts.

Walmart will now stop selling "assault" caliber ammo. Watch it.....

Pass the gravy.

Based on the articles, it seems that may be a real possibility. The CEO said they want to cater to hunters and sporting clay shooters, and have firearms and ammunition for those activities.

Thanks Okie. I was waiting for you. I'm only slightly expecting one other member to speak up or kick me in the sack....but there may be twenty three more by the time I look for more eggs tomorrow.

I've been told by our Walmart for quite awhile that Walmart was not going to sell what they consider assault rifles or home defense shotguns anymore. Interestingly, I asked when they were going to stop selling the Mini 14 sitting next to the AR's and they said they will continue to sell them.

And those sell at a much slower rate than ARs. Sure doesn't look like a monetary decision to me.
